Newsletter – November 2020
Many of you have already been preparing and collecting your enrolled children’s immunization records and exemptions for the January 15, 2021 deadline of the School and Child Care Immunization Report. For this newsletter, our intention is to help get you started with this process and provide you with links and resources. Your Child Care Health Consultant (CCHC) will review this guidance with you in the upcoming months but please don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you have questions.
Additionally, we have started seeing a rise in COVID-19 cases in Colorado. Our nurses have received many calls from our centers letting us know of a positive case or exposure. Admittedly, the guidance is not easy to navigate. While it is best to reach out to your local health departments with questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to your CCHC as well. We have linked the latest guidance below for you in this newsletter.
We wish you all peace and wellness during this time. You provide great support to our families and communities and for that we are eternally grateful.
Molly Orlando, RN
Co-owner/Child Care Health Consultant

We have heard licensing specialists are now asking centers to report a positive COVID-19 to licensing and their local health department. There are some inconsistencies with this expectation but to prevent being written up for this violation, please report a positive COVID-19 case to both licensing and your health department within 24 hours.
